Kobo Oriza, a studio that creates highly original stoles and scarves using traditional looms, is located in the deep mountains of Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, facing the Seto Inland Sea—a place blessed with nature where time flows slowly.

Kobo Oriza's vintage looms have become the innovation behind spinning and producing comfortable fashion products loved by people of all ages and genders.

Among these, the "Yuragi-ori" (fluctuation weave) scarf with its unusual, soft undulating design is particularly special. This weaving technique was awarded the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award" at the 3rd Manufacturing Japan Grand Prix.

Items created through age-old techniques fit seamlessly into modern fashion. Just as the threads interweave, people and tradition interweave... The products created by Kobo Oriza seem to serve as a bridge connecting the present and the past.

This stole is woven on a "Toyota Type-Y" loom manufactured approximately 110 years ago.
Rather than using the looms just as they were back then, every part has been modified to rebuild them into "new looms" capable of weaving our original technique, the "Vertical-Horizontal Woven-Twist."

・Fabric softener may cause fluffing. Please refrain from using it as much as possible.
