DEDEGUMO is a brand that has been creating handmade watches in Kyoto since 1992. In their workshop, a traditional townhouse in Gion Shirakawa, Kyoto, where the historical atmosphere of the city is palpable, they continue to challenge themselves to create watches with designs as free and innovative as clouds, unbound by conventional notions of watchmaking.

One of the characteristics of DEDEGUMO watches is their design-centric philosophy. In addition to watches with traditional Japanese designs that are characteristic of Kyoto, they also collaborate with external creators through watch design contests and other means to create unique designs that you won't find in other brands.

The pursuit of reliable quality is also a characteristic of DEDEGUMO watches. The watch movements are made in Japan. While many handmade watches are not waterproof, these watches feature water resistance for everyday use (with some exceptions) and a corrosion-resistant coating. Furthermore, skilled craftsmen with watch repair technician qualifications meticulously check the quality to ensure long-lasting enjoyment.

In recent years, we have been introducing digital technology and continuing to challenge ourselves with delicate design expressions that were impossible with manual work. Since 2020, we have introduced CAD (Computer-aided design) for designing watch parts and 3D printers for creating casting prototypes. The final finishing is done by craftsmen one piece at a time.

This collaboration watch features SouMa, a popular 3D paper cut artist known for his unique paper cutting techniques and distinctive worldview.
DEDEGUMO's original three-layer structure creates a three-dimensional scene by overlapping the patterns.
The "image of viewing scenery from inside a clock" that SouMa envisioned rises up with each tick of the clock, exuding a unique and unparalleled presence.

The beautiful spring scene is expressed in a three-layered structure.
The top layer features latticed windows and cherry blossom petals that look like they're about to enter the room, the second layer has cherry blossoms near the window and latticed windows, and the dial of the third layer depicts the moon, a bridge, and cherry blossoms in the distance.
The arrangement of cherry blossoms and fallen petals in three layers, front and back, creates a sense of depth and movement. The hands of the clock, blending seamlessly into the scenery, gently overlap, marking time in a fantastical world.

The case is made of blackened brass, creating an antique-like, atmospheric feel.

We utilize digital software to create dial and case designs. We also produce design parts for watches, create prototypes using 3D printers, and perform casting of parts.

From the case to the second hand and even the buckle of the strap, everything is made to the original specifications, allowing you to enjoy the details.

The watch uses a Japanese-made movement. In addition, it features "water resistance for everyday use" and a "corrosion-resistant coating," ensuring that you can enjoy it for many years to come.

This belt is made from vegan leather, which is created by giving new life to apple peels that would otherwise be thrown away. It has a sophisticated surface finish with a textured grain that makes scratches less noticeable, and it has a texture and feel that is just as elegant as regular leather.

The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase. However, only internal malfunctions are covered by the warranty; external parts such as the case and strap are not covered.
